From her Still I Rise series, this sculptural statement by Emiko Oye is a repurposed LEGO® recreation of “Saint” Marsha P. Johnson's and “Mother” Sylvia Rivera's eyes. This one of a kind piece is inspired by pioneering transgender women of color and early activists for transgender and gay rights. Oye's Still I Rise series harnesses and highlights empowerment. This convertible piece can be worn as either a necklace or a brooch.
