Batik form of art is one of the oldest art form in India, which can be traced back to around 2000 years back. Batik paintings normally contain murals, wall hangings, paintings, household linen, and scarves are treasured possessions of any household in India. This genre of paintings on cotton cloth is found in West Bengal, Orissa and Tamil Nadu and have been known for their originality, uniqueness and fineness.
